About Bontuchel Wildlife Hide

The Wildlife viewing hide overlooks small ponds and the stream is open to the public at all times.

How to get there:

Bontuchel Wildlife Hide is in Clocaenog which is part of Hiraethog Forest. Ruthin, Cyffylliog, Clawdd Newydd, and Clocaenog are the nearest towns or villages.

From Ruthin take B5105 sign posted Cerrigydrudion, on leaving Llanfrwog, take the right turning sign posted Cyffylliog. Upon entering the village of Bontuchel turn left sign posted Clocaenog. Approximately l mile out of Bontuchel parking on the left. Follow signs for the Hide.

What's of interest

Dormice are found in these woodlands,though very hard to spot. Much of this wood is ancient woodland site in the process of restoration or is ancient semi natural woodland and the area is of high conservation value.
