Abergorlech Picnic Site

 

Abergorlech Picnic Site is in a lovely location where the Gorlech and Cothi Rivers meet. The woodland has a mixture of broadleaves and coniferous woods, with a rushing stream below the main entrance track.

Abergorlech is a small village located next to Brechfa Forest on the B4310 road. Follow the A482 between Lampeter and Llandovery until the turn off for Llansawel (B4302). Once in Llansawel follow signs for Abergorlech.

	Planted back in the 1950s with 89 separate plots, with rare and exotic species including Korean Fir, Eucalyptus, Coast Redwood, Tulip Tree, Fraser Fir, Macedonian Pine, Southern Beech, Japanese Cedar, Serbian Spruce, American Snakebark Maple, Sierra Redwood, Small-leafed Lime and Silver Maple amongst others.
