Recreation at Fauldhouse Forest
 

Lying between the towns of Fauldhouse and Harthill, Fauldhouse forest occupies ground which was the heart of the local coal mining industry. The woodland offers quiet seclusion whilst the higher ground offers superb views of the Breich Valley. There are are several ponds within the forest and a wide range of animal and insect life.

How to get there:

Fauldhouse is the nearest town or village.

Leave M8 from Junction 4 and take the A705 to Whitburn. Head south on the A706 to Longridge and take the B7010 to Fauldhouse, by train Fauldhouse station is on the Edinburgh to Glasgow Central line.
