Where willows grow
The name Sallochy doesn't come from 'salach', the Gaelic for dirty, but from 'seileach', willow. Willow had many uses in the old days: people would weave wickerwork baskets, creels, chairs, horse-bridles - and even coffins!
How to get there:
From Drymen take the B837 for east Loch Lomond and Rowardennan. Sallochy car park is approximately nine miles along this road.
