Balmaha
 

This is the Gateway to the Highlands. Pause here before climbing up through Balmaha Pass heading towards Cashel, Sallochy, Rowardennan and Ben Lomond. Behind the car park towers Conic Hill - the long distance footpath from Milngavie to Fort William.

How to get there:

Balmaha is in East Loch Lomond Woodland which is part of Queen Elizabeth Forest Park. Drymen is the nearest town or village.

Follow the B837 to Balmaha from Drymen.

What's of interest
Follow the blue waymarkers and enjoy the woodlands behind Balmaha. The trail will take you approx. 1 hour to complete. You will see large Scots pine and spruce plantations.
