A nice peaceful walk done mid-week in the rain) with some steep climbs & lovely views. Sturdy water resistant footwear recommended especially during & after rain. A very enjoyable walk with our 3 dogs.

My friend and I did the Cairns trail (Red markers) on 7th March, although still snowy in upper reaches, we really enjoyed this peaceful place. The sighting of four red squirrels was an added bonus! Towards the top of the trail, frozen into the snow, was the inmprint of what looked like owls wings as it had grabbed some prey-beautiful.
