Colour rating today: turned golden turned golden
Mixed woodland predominantly conifer with mixed broadleaves throughout. Larch gives a great colour show.

How to get there:

Cademuir is part of Forests of the Scottish Borders. Peebles is the nearest town or village.

From Peebles High Street, head west towards Glasgow until you come to the mini round about at the end of the High Street. Turn left and go onto the B7062, once over the bridge take the second right and follow the signs for the school. Turn right uphill and just before the school turn left onto the unclassified road. Follow this road for approximately one and a half miles and Cademuir forest access point is found on the right.

The Tweed Valley Forest Park lies in the main woodland corridor between Peebles and Selkirk and boasts some fabulous visitor attractions.

The Forest Park is within two hours travelling time from many of the major towns and cities north and south of the border - perfect for day visits.
