I think mountain bikers have as much right to use the area as yupie dog walkers

Arrived at the car park on Sunday intending to take a walk with my dog to be met with a new tar entrance road,I thought this is good but alas there is no such thing as a free lunch, good old Scottish hospitality, you now have to pay for parking there.I have been going there for years and never found a problem with the old car parking facilities, but now it has become a yupie area for mountain bikers etc I suppose we all have to pay for this privilege. Anyway I did; nt I drove along the road and along with many others parked safely on the verge.(no doubt there will be double yellow lines there next time).Spoilt a very popular area for a Sunday stroll.

I'm up in the area regularly and think the new parking fees are reasonable considering the maintenance work required to upkeep the walking and cycling routes .You don't get nothing for nothing these days ! The website even suggests you might see " osprey, pine marten, red squirrel, wildcat and red deer" ! Aye right, and if your lucky you'll see a yeti and maybe even Nessie !
