Having been going upto Carron Dam since a wee boy and now in mid fifties dont think will be back !!! because of some (not all) mountain bikers since the turn of the year have nearly been hit about 6 times by irresponsible bikers who think they are the only ones there. If it was a kid on a horse there could have been a very nasty incident This is a small minority who are causing havoc. They are wasting this forest for families just wanting to introduce kids to the outdoors Please guys think about other people not just YOUR enjoyment.

There are designated mountain biking trails that are not for use by walkers or other users. If the mountain bikers are using other trails, please take this up with the team at the local district office (you can get them on 01877 382383

Been going to CV for the last 3+ years, it's great to have a trail centre nearby, albeit it smaller than most, to save a 60+ mile trip to Tweed Valley. I usually do 3 complete loops, and by the 3rd time round it can be getting a bit "samey" as a regular - the potential for upgrading the trails to 20km or so and investment in a cafe / facilities would surely be more of a draw for those from further afield. Keep up the good work, thanks!!
