Raven's Rock

(Average user rating: unrated unrated)

About Raven's Rock

A beautiful mixed wood situated in a steep sided gorge. In the gorge there are mature stands of beech and very tall fir trees surrounded by Scots pine trees.

From the car park the trail follows an easy path to the north that will take you to the falls viewpoint

An alternative walk follows the riverside loop. This is a more challenging route with steps, boardwalks and some steep sections that can be slippery

The gorge offers great close ups of mosses and ferns and some wonderful views of the river.

How to get there:

Raven's Rock is part of Sutherland. Rosehall is the nearest town or village.

Follow the A839 from Lairg. About 6 miles west of Lairg turn left and follow the FE signs for the walk.
