Camore Car Park

 

From the car park you can make access throughout Camore Wood to visit the Fitness Trail, try your hand at the permanent orienteering course or simply enjoy the beauty of the fine old Scots pine in this wood.

How to get there:

Camore Car Park is in Camore which is part of Sutherland. Dornoch is the nearest town or village.

Camore Wood lies between the Lonemore and Evelix (A949) Roads just West of Dornoch. To reach the car park heading from Dornoch turn left at the West Church Hall onto the Lonemore Road. Follow this road for about two miles to reach the sign leading into Camore Wood on your right. The car park lies a few hundred yards up the forest road. You can also access Camore Wood on foot from Evelix Road (A949) about a mile west of Dornoch - follow the right of way sign to Lonemore.

	As well as enjoying the tranquility of this beautiful wood there is a permanent orienteering course - for maps visit Dornoch Tourist office or phone 01862 810359 and we will send you one.
	Fitness Trail lies right next to the car park - there are a series of stations where you can keep yourself fit and try out the various suggested exercises. Children especially enjoy these activities.
