About Dun Ghallain

This small isolated wood is being managed to help the long term survival of the diverse habitat that is present.

From mature pine and oak to younger species of rowan, birch, hazel and alder it is a very special woodland. Wildlife abounds and it is not unusual to see the magnificent sea eagle in the area.

How to get there:

Dun Ghallain is part of Sunart Oakwood. Glenborrodale is the nearest town or village.

From Salen take the Kilchoan road heading west. You will pass the forest of Camastorsa on your right and cross two grids before passing through the settlement of Camusinas.

Dun Ghallain is approximately 500m through this settlement.
