About Leanachan

Please note that the cycle route link from Torlundy to Aonach Mor Access Road is closed for timber harvesting. Please follow the diversion route as signposted.

Leanachan Forest plays host to skiing, cycling, horse riding and Husky Sled Dog Racing - it is also one of the main timber producing areas in Lochaber.

For the cycling enthusiast, there is the choice of world class facilities including the Witch's Trails (Cross Country), Downhill and 4 Cross, plus miles of family grade routes, all starting from the Nevis Range.

Frequent harvesting work is carried out in Leanachan - please look out for signs and take advice given on them regarding diversions.

How to get there:

Fort William is the nearest town or village.

From Inverness follow the signs for Fort William on the A82. Once past Speanbridge the forest is on your left, and the main entrance is on the same road as the Aonach Mor gondola ski ride. From the south you must go through Fort William and stay on the A82 heading for Inverness. You will see the signs for the Aonach Mor Ski Centre approximately 3.5 miles outside the town.
