About Glen Loy Wood

The Erracht Native Oakwood is at the bottom of the eastern slope streching from the River Loy half way up the hill.

An excellent place for wildlife watching and peace and quiet.

How to get there:

Fort William is the nearest town or village.

Take the B8004 from Banavie on the north side of the canal. There are three forest gates in the forest area. You are looking for the most easterly gate with the Forestry Commission sign, with the words 'with Erracht access' at the entrance.
