Great Glen Woods

Port Clair wood has magnificent Douglas fir and areas of deciduous woodland - great for autumn colours - best seen from the south side of Loch Ness. There is a carpark with a waymarked walk. Farigaig Forest is a varied mix of planted conifers of different ages and native broadleaved woodlands. Many animals and birds thrive here. There are spectacular viewpoints - but Farigaig's autumn colours are best viewed from north Loch Ness. Farigaig is adjacent to the B852, near Inverfarigaig,with a carpark, picnic area, toilets and a network of waymarked walks.

Great Glen Woods is part of Great Glen Forest. Inverness, Fort Augustus, Drumnadrochit, Glen Moriston, Inverfarigaig, Foyers, and Whitebridge are the nearest towns or villages.
The Great Glen woods are along both sides of the Great Glen off the A82, the B852, B862 from Inverness and Fort Augustus.
