Achairn Forest

(Average user rating5 unrated 5/5)

About Achairn Forest

The forest road leading from the car park heads deep into Achairn Forest, in places running along the banks of the Achairn Burn.

The meadows along the side of the burn are abundant with wild flowers and rich in insect life in the summer.

It is hoped that this forest road will soon link through to the public road at Blingery to the north.

How to get there:

Achairn Forest is part of Caithness. Lairg is the nearest town or village.

One mile north of the Grey Cairns of Camster, at the forest entry waymark No 13.
