About Craigieburn Forest

Spreading up the valley side from Moffat Water, Craigieburn Forest offers a choice of two walks.

The short walk climbs up to a viewpoint where vistas unfold towards the town of Moffat, famous for its wool and toffee. For the keen walker, the path splits and offers the choice of a longer route up the hill.

Please make sure that you have suitable hill walking equipment if you opt for the long route.

How to get there:

Craigieburn Forest is part of Forests of the Southern Uplands. Moffat is the nearest town or village.

Follow the A708, from Moffat to Selkirk road. The car park is signposted three miles out of Moffat.

The nearest train station is in Lockerbie.
