About Town Wood Car Park

Town Wood car park is the access point for a number of walks in the area. This includes the All Abilities Trail, and the Plaintain Loch Walk.

How to get there:

Town Wood Car Park is in Dalbeattie Forest which is part of Forests of the Solway Coast.
Leave Dalbeattie on the A710, heading south towards Colvend. All forest walks start from the 'Town Wood' car park (which is the first car park on the left).
All bike trails start from the 'Richorn Trailhead' (which is the second car park on the left).

The nearest train station is in Dumfries.
Dalbeattie and Colvend are the nearest towns or villages.
