All the trails are open all year round IF you are on a Mountain Bike! But keep an eye on the weather, conditions can and do change rapidly in the Galloway Hills. Be Safe, and Have fun out there.

Really helpfull comment from forestry commission to anonymouse 21st Oct. Since the only trail listed is the Cornish hill trail, which is at the Stinchar Bridge end of Forest Drive, thats a long walk from your advised access from Dalmellington!

Can anyone tell me if this trail is open all year ? Thanks.

This trail is open all year round, however the Carrick Forest drive closes on the 26th October. You will be able to access the trail from the Dalmellington end of the drive.
