About Garscadden Wood West

A young woodland with oak, ash, birch, rowan, fruit trees and lovely old hawthorn hedges.

There is a great selection of wildflowers in the high meadow in summer and great views of Glasgow.

How to get there:

Garscadden Wood West is part of Drumchapel Woodlands. Clydebank, Knightswood, and Bearsden are the nearest towns or villages.

From the city, centre travel west along Great Western Road (A82) to the Drumchapel flyover. Head through Drumchapel town centre, up Kinfauns Drive and take a left after the police station into Peel Glen Road. Then take the second left onto Ladyloan Avenue - the woodlands can be accessed from the right-hand side of this road.
