About Cardowan

The largest of the Bishops Estate woodlands with fantastic opportunities for walking and cycling.

There are great views from the higher ground and the only Bishops Estate woodland with a sculpture. Enjoy the peace and quiet whilst spotting woodland wildlife.

The site provides accessibility information on a network of woodland paths and trails, allowing people to make informed choices about which sites to visit.

How to get there:

Cardowan is part of Bishops Estate. Glasgow and Easterhouse are the nearest towns or villages.

Leave the M8 at junction 11 and join the B765. Follow Avenue End Road towards Millerston. Cardowan is on your right-hand side just before you reach Millerston.
