About Bishops Estate

Get away from it all without leaving the city and enjoy walking, cycling, horse riding or wildlife spotting in the Bishops Estate Forest.

Come and visit these wonderful woodlands spread throughout Greater Easterhouse and take in some fantastic views of the City and surrounding countryside.

We've been working hard with local people to give the woodlands a facelift. The paths are much improved and we've been opening up the woods.

How to get there:

Glasgow and Easterhouse are the nearest towns or villages.

The woodlands are in the Greater Easterhouse area, which can be accessed from junctions 9, 10 and 11 of the M8.

User Comments

Please put a proper map on your website so visitors can see where each forest is. OS grid references are really unhelpful to the majority of people.

We're in the process of completely re-designing our recreation pages to make them much more user friendly - and I'll pass your comment on to the team. Thanks
