About West Loch Awe

The forests of Inverliever, Inverinan and Eredine are set alongside Scotland's longest inland loch, the beautiful Lochaweside, and offer a fantastic forest experience for all the family.

Stretching a few muscles on one of the longer cycle trails; taking a gentle stroll through the oakwood; enjoying a trek on horse back; relaxing, having a picnic and taking in the spectacular scenery or sitting by a loch hoping a fish will take the bait.

There is a way for everyone to enjoy the forests of Loch Awe.

How to get there:

Dalavich is the nearest town or village.

From Lochgilphead, follow the A816 one mile north of Kilmartin. Follow the B840 to Ford, then the unclassified road to Dalavich and Kilchrennan.

From Oban or Glasgow, follow the A85 to Taynuilt then the unclassified road south to Kilchrennan and Dalavich.
