About Fishnish Car Parks

This woodland is situated on the Fishnish Penninsula overlooking the Mull to Lochaline ferry terminal. This is the starting point for a circular walk and a through route to our picnic site at Garmony.

Close by is the historic harbour of Ceadha Leth Torcail (the pier of Torquils half-share). The old slip was used to load cattle which were shipped across the sound to join cattle droves from Ardnamurchan on to Falkirk in the lowlands.

How to get there:

Fishnish Car Parks is in Fishnish and Garmony. Craignure (4 miles) and Tobermory (18 miles) is the nearest town or village.

Travel northwest from Craignure for around four miles on the A849 until you meet a junction signposted to Fishnish and the ferry to Lochaline (A884).

There are several car parking areas in the forest down this road, the main one being closest to the ferry terminal
