Cologin Wood
 

A mix of conifer plantation and broadleaved woodland, with superb views of Ben Cruachan and across Loch Gleann a' Bhearraidh reservoir towards Oban Bay and Mull on a clear day.

How to get there:

Oban is the nearest town or village.

From Oban, take the A816 southwards towards Lochgilphead for approximately 2 miles and then turn right onto the minor road to Lerags. The turning is about 400m past the Oban Livestock Market and is signposted to Cologin Chalets. Follow the single track road into Lerags Glen for about half a mile then turn right for the Cologin car park.

The Cologin Red Trail which starts at Cologin car park is 2 miles long and marked by red waymarkers.
