Recreation at East Loch Awe

This vast area of forestry has something to offer for everyone. The Eredine and Brenchoillie forests lie back to back spreading from East Loch Awe to Auchindrain near the banks of Loch Fyne.

The network of forest roads and tracks lead to hill lochs and spectacular views of Beinn Cruachan and North Loch Fyne.

How to get there:

Inveraray, Furnace, and Eredine are the nearest towns or villages.

From Glasgow-
Follow the A82 to Tarbet then the A83 through Inveraray to Auchindrain museum.
or
From Inveraray take the A819 Oban road. At Cladich take the Portsonachan/Eredine road. Follow the road through Portsonachan and Eredine to the Ardray car park.
From Lochgilphead-
Follow the A83 south to Auchindrain museum.
or
Follow the A816 north to the Ford junction. Follow the B840 to Ford then take the Eredine turn-off. The Ardray carpark is on the left before you reach Eredine.
