By road from Glasgow follow the A82 along Loch Lomondside. Then follow the A83, running up Glen Croe, to the Rest & Be Thankful Carpark. The road crosses and re-crosses the River Croe, climbing steadily up the valley flank to its head on the pass of the Rest and Be Thankful.
