Ardgartan

Ardgartan - Like a shop window, Arrochar sets out on display some of the choicest goods of the Forest Park. Across the levels of Loch Long, surging from sea level to high rocky crests, are arrayed the Brack, the Cobbler, Beinn Narnain, and A'Chrois, sounding a clarion call to the walker and climber. From the Ardgartan Campsite, short strolls leading through woodland along by the Croe Water can be extended on the network of forest tracks virtually as far as you care to go - down the Loch Long shore in richly mixed woods.

How to get there:

Arrochar is the nearest town or village.
OS Grid Reference: NN271032

By road take the A82 along the western shore of Loch Lomond through Tarbet, entering the park at Arrochar. By train/coach from Glasgow to Arrochar.
