Clune Wood

This small wood is planted with a mixture of broadlaves and conifers. The mixes of species and ages makes for an interesting place to walk - sometimes you are strolling under towering Douglas firs, and five minutes further on a stunning view over lower Deeside is revealed.

How to get there:

Clune Wood is part of The Durris Forest. Woodlands Of Durris, Kirkton Of Durris, Banchory, and Drumoak are the nearest towns or villages.

By car, follow the south Deeside road (B9077). On reaching the crossroads where one road leads north over the Dee by the Park bridge, turn south towards Woodlands of Durris. Clune Wood is roughly 2km along this road on your left.
