About Pitfichie

This is a varied forest with cycling routes through a mixture of woodland and open hill.

There are two main mountain bike trails - the blue-graded white route and the red-graded red route - and two Downhill Mountain Bike trails (the orange route) for expert Downhill bikers.

The trails have excellent views of the Vale of Alford, Bennachie, Millstone Hill and towards Aberdeen.

Very good trail using the red route. The rocky uphill near the start is very difficult, needing a high degree of skill and stamina, the downhull which follows is fantastic and the granite slab features and stone crossings are amazing. I have used many of the scottish trail centres and believe the red features early on should be graded black. Overall a great test of skill and stamina. Give it a try if you fancy a challenge.
