Dunnottar Woodland Park

Colour rating today: turned golden turned golden
This small wood has a wonderful mixture of broadleaves and conifers which create a vivid mix of colours in autumn. Wherever you are in the wood, you are sure to enjoy the rich mix of colours, textures and shapes as nature responds to the shorter days and cooler nights of autumn.

How to get there:

Stonehaven is the nearest town or village.

Dunnottar lies on the south side of Stonehaven, between the dual carriageway and the A957. Walkers can reach the wood through a number of entrances between Mill of Forest and Carron Gardens. Details of how to reach the two car parks are given under appropriate web pages.
