Oatyhill Entrance
 

This small entrance has room for two or three cars. Please do not block the barrier, but leave room for emergency access.

There are no waymarked walks within this wood, but an information board at one entrance and leaflets available locally allow you to explore the paths in this small wood by yourself.

    There are several small paths for you to explore.

How to get there:

Oatyhill Entrance is in Denlethen Wood. Laurencekirk is the nearest town or village.

From Laurencekirk, head south through the village on the A937. Before your reach the dual carriageway there is an unclassified public road to the right. Take this road and follow it until it crosses the rialway line. After the railway line take the turn off immediately on your right, down a track. The entrance to the wood is roughly 200m down the track on your right.

Dog Walkers - a small percentage of dog walkers are spoiling this wood for everyone else. Please do not allow your dog to foul the paths or the areas of short grass. If it does, please bag the mess up and take it home with you, or place it in the dog bin at one of the entrances.
