Clashindarroch Forest
 

This is the best snow-holding forest in the country ! There are specially laid out trails for cross-country ski-ers. Over the summer months you may use this area for walking or cycling but please be aware that the trails are set out with ski-ing in mind, rather than for other activities.

In the winter, for ski hire and/or lessons you should contact the Huntly Nordic and Outdoor Centre on 01466 794428 or look at www.huntly.net/hnoc.

How to get there:

Rhynie is the nearest town or village.
OS Grid Reference: NJ 425 263

From Rhynie take the A941 road to Dufftown. The car park is on the left after about 5 miles.

This is a high forest and the weather can be extreme. Please remember to be prepared for bad weather and take clothing and equipment suitable for the conditions you may experience.
