Recreation at Dinnington Community Woodland

Colour rating today: turning golden turning golden
The colours of Autumn will soon be replacing the bright Summer hues on Dinnington Community Woodland as nature prepares for the onset of Winter. The resident birds have said farewell to the more exotic visitors that nested and raised their young on the wetland scrape during late-Spring and early-Summer, and the waterfowl will be hoping for some rainfall to raise water levels. Ripening fruit provides the energy and reserves of fat needed by wildlife to see them through the Winter.

How to get there:

Dinnington is the nearest town or village.

Turn onto A57 Sheffield Road, signposted for Worksop. At Todwick crossroads turn left onto B6463 Dinnington Road, which becomes Todwick Road. Follow until a right turn onto Church Lane. Follow for approximately a quarter of a mile. The site gate is just before the housing estate on the right hand side of the road.
