Recreation at Cudworth Common

Much of Cudworth Common is elevated above the surrounding area so views over the RSPB Edderthorpe Ings reserves, can be enjoyed as you wander around the site. Keep an eye open for the wooden sculptures which celebrate the site's mining heritage and its new future as a community woodland.
Ferrymoor Flash, alothough separated from the main part of the site, should not be missed when visiting because a fantastic range of wildlife inhabits this small wetland area.

How to get there:

Cudworth is the nearest town or village.

From Cudworth village centre head along the A628 towards Shafton. At the next two roundabouts turn right on to the A6195 for Grimethorpe and Doncaster. Take the first right just before Sash windows on to a small track, follow to the entrance of site.
