Recreation at Bentley Community Woodland

Bentley Community Woodland is 93 hectares of beautiful mixed woodland, bosting a range of both deciduous and coniferous trees, which displays a wonderful palete of colour throughout the seasons.
Bentley has a unique 12 hectare wetland which is very important to the site, hosting a variety of wildfowl and seasonal migrants.
The highest point of the woodland has a Miners memorial sculpture, from which a vista across South Yorkshire can be seen, showing a panoramic mosaic of rustic colours. There are 3 miles of trails around the woodland which are perfect for walking, cycling or horse riding.

Doncaster is the nearest town or village.
By Car
From Doncaster take the A19 towards Selby. At the roundabout in Bentley take the second exit off the roundabout towards Arksey. Take the third turning on the left onto the Avenue. Follow to the end, main car park found on the left hand side of the road.
By Bus
Number 76 bus from Doncaster, ask the driver for ‘The Avenue’ in Bentley.
By Train
Bentley train station is approximately 1 mile from the site entrance. From the train station walk onto church street, continue straight as the road changes into cooke street, then turn right and continue along chapel street until it reaches the High Street. Once on the High Street continue left until you come to a mini-roundabout. At the roundabout walk down the road to Arksey, ‘Arksey Lane’. Continue until you come across a left turn where there are some shops. Turn left onto ‘The Avenue’. Continue on The Avenue to the end and you will reach Bentley Community Woodland.
