Wardley Wood
 

This small wood is a glorious ancient woodland on a hillside in the undulating hills of Rutland. Accessible only on foot, or by horseback via the bridleway.

How to get there:

Uppingham is the nearest town or village.

Wardley wood can be accessed on foot using the public footpaths from Uppingham (B79) and Wardley village (E248).

Come to Wardley for refreshment for mind, body and soul. It is such a quiet woodland that creatures such as deer, fox and badger find refuge here. Even if you miss them, their tracks can be found in muddy areas.
