Blakehopeburnhaugh is at the northern end of the Kielder Forest Drive and consists of three picnic areas, a toilet block and two waymarked walking routes.

How to get there:

Byrness is the nearest town or village.
OS Grid Reference: NT 785 003

Signposted to Kielder Water and Forest Park off the A68, between the villages of Byrness and Rochester.

Walking There are two wat marked walks and from here there is good access to the Pennine Way.

Fishing Fishing is allowed in the burn however a licence and permit are needed.Licences are available from most post offices and permits are available from Kielder Castle.
Camping Access is available from this picnic site to two backpacking sites within the forest.
Wildlife Activities A bird hide can be found along a track just off of the picnic site.
Barbecue BBQ stands are provided on some picnic benches.
Play Area There is enough spacec for playing ball games at this picnic site.
