Bucknells Wood
 

Bucknells is a delightful ancient woodland. A pleasant mix of semi-natural broadleaf woodland and conifer plantations.
A small car park, picnic area and grassy play area is located at the south eastern edge of the wood.

How to get there:

Bucknells Wood is part of Whittlewood Forest. Silverstone is the nearest town or village.

Bucknells Wood is located 1 mile to the north- west of Silverstone village, on the road to Abthorpe. The wood links to the public right of way network to give direct pedestrian and horse access from Silverstone.

What's of interest
This wood is so full of variety, you get a different view around every corner. A good brisk walk does wonders for the waistline, too! PLEASE NOTE: due to it's poor condition, the car park will be closed for the forseeable future. However, the wood remains fully open and you are welcome to walk in it and enjoy it.
