A notice at the site states that picnic areas, car parks ets are being withdrawn throughout Rockingham Forest, but no reason is given. Can you please explain?

Nice little wood. A shame that the excellent car park has been closed for sometime without explanation.

Been here, done this? What did you think?

What's of interest

This wood is full of surprises, such as huge cherry trees and mature oak on the boundaries. There are also lots of exotic trees, such as shag-bark hickory and Japanese maple. PLEASE NOTE: the car park is currently closed, although the wood is still open to the public.
