About Cropton Forest

Please note that Cropton Forest will be CLOSED on Sunday 5th September for the Yorkshire Motorcycle Club enduro.  Please follow marshals instructions.

Cropton forest is a mainly coniferous woodland set on the edge of the North York Moors. It is very much a 'residential' forest with a campsite, forest cabins and educational outdoor activity centres. Except for facilities associated with the cabins and campsite access at Cropton Forest is informal.

How to get there:

Pickering is the nearest town or village.

By car to Spiers House Campsite. Follow the A170 west from Pickering for two miles to the village of Wrelton. From here follow the the minor road through Cropton towards Rosedale. The campsite is signed on the right about one and a half miles from Cropton.
