Explore Clowes Wood
(Average user rating: 4 unrated 3.5/5)

Clowes Wood is a delightful mixed woodland near Whitstable, with mature birch and coniferous trees.

Its many paths and convenient car park makes Clowes Wood an ideal location for walkers - especially with dogs. its total area covers 236 hectares.

What do other visitors say?

we went to clows wood for the first time this sunday [05/10/14]thought it was a lovely place and really enjoyed our walk. we did however think that a few maps showing where the various paths lead would've been useful, especially to people like us who had never been there before [we even had some people asking us if the path we were on led back to the car park].... its a small gripe and its definitely not something that would stop us going there again

I enjoy our ride around Clowes but unfortunately paths are still blocked by fallen trees quite a few months after they fell.

Just to let you know my dog was bitten by a snake (probably an adder) on 3/3/14 at Clowes wood. You may want to post a warning notice? Apart from that, this is a terrific place for dog walking etc. regards, Peter Emery

thank you for letting us know Peter. we hope your dog is recovering well.
