Firestone is an attractive area of forest, notable for its wide-ranging tree species, from Oak to soaring spires of Grand Fir.
In summer you'll probably glimpse some of the many butterflies found here; amongst them White and Red Admirals, Marbled Whites, Small Tortoiseshells, Gatekeepers and Fritillaries.
Red squirrels and green woodpeckers are also a common sight in Firestone.
Firestone Copse car park is visible from the road and provides parking for approximately 40 cars.
This car park is unsuitable for coaches and large vehicles.

I went there with my family - parents, wife and children. Absolutely gorgeous walks and I loved the circuit walk - didn't know it was one till we got back to the start!
Only thing is that the people who don't clean up after their dogs are more disgusting than the deposits their animals leave behind. There was so much poo even though there are dog bins and even dog bags provided. Gives the area and the whole of the IOW a bad name. 5 stars when there's no poo.

Firestone Copse on the Isle Of Wight is beauty and splendour at its best, with its seemingly endless walks through miles of the most scenic countryside. It is ideal for family picnics or for walkers, the latter of which are spoilt for choice locally.
