Wapley Hill wood has been changing over and over again since the Iron Age.
Today the Hill is a productive woodland enjoyed by walkers with bluebells and beech avenues but remnants of the past can still be seen by the eager eyed.
Walk the trail and see if you can discover the pillow mounds on the hillfort or see the line of the warren wall. An information panel by the hillfort will tell you some of the stories of Wapley Hill.
How to get there:
Wapley Hill Wood Car Park is in Wapley Hill Wood which is part of The Marches.
Approximately 1 mile off the B4362, Shobdon to Pesteigne road.
