Haughmond Hill Car Park and Picnic Site
 

Work is ongoing to improve visitor facilities on site. Currently a new surfaced trail is being installed with the support of Bardon Aggregates. There will be heavy machinery on site and a limited amount of tree work taking place.

PLEASE PAY CAREFUL ATTENTION TO ALL SAFETY SIGNAGE ON SITE.

Walking trails

    Please do not allow your dog to foul the paths especially the all ability (yellow) trail as it is popular with wheelchair users and families with buggies.
    All-ability
    Blue Trail
    Red Trail

Cycling trails

    If you choose to cycle on Haughmond Hill please take care as large numbers of families and walkers with dogs use the site. Please do not cycle on the All Ability Trail. Eastridge Woods near Minsterley has cross country and downhill cycle trails and will give you a far better ride.

How to get there:

Haughmond Hill Car Park and Picnic Site is in Haughmond Hill which is part of The Marches. Shrewsbury is the nearest town or village.

Take the Shrewsbury to Newport road, B5062, turn right after Haughmond Abbey. After 500m, turn right again into the car park.

Picnic There are picnic tables around the car park and on the blue walk at the front of the hill.
View Point The blue walk will take you to the front of the hill providing views across Shrewsbury to the Welsh Hills , the South Shropshire Hills and Wenlock Edge.
