Explore Eastridge
(Average user rating: 4 unrated 4/5)

This hill-top woodland has stunning views across the surrounding countryside and some great, raw mountain bike trails for those who likes roots rocks and a little bit of mud.

The trails in this wood are built in partnership with the Eastridge Trail Partnership to internationally recognised standards.  If you want to dig trails get in touch with them on their Facebook Page  as unauthorised jumps and features will have to be removed.

The Revelation Trail - rated at the top end of the 'difficult' (red) range.

Downhill Trails - Student Champs and '98 DH rated 'severe' (black).

signposts to it could be better. have just done the red route again 2 days ago, about fifth time for me.i still find it hard and tiring with some killer climbs.takes me under 2 hours including tree hugging and eating a apple. i use my giant trance x1 which seems to cope well but the mud/frost nearly stopped the rear mech working. i am not a experienced rider but normally do black/red runs in wales and i would rate it at black not red, also recommend it not to be rode solo as remote/not very busy and phone signal intermittant. hope my comments will be useful as this is my first revue in 5 years of biking.

Rode the XC trail late July and was really impressed. It makes a refreshing change to have a accurately graded trail. The Red route is more technical than most Black trail centre routes. I rode it on my hardtail XC bike and had really good fun. I plan to return sometime on the downhill rig and blast those trails too. I also took my son (age 6) for a ride around the Blue route, this was also much harder than most other Blue routes due to the long first climb but he really enjoyed it.

I must start by saying i do not enjoy slating many trails as i value all the time and effort the builders put in as volunteers, but this was disappointing. Whilst the trails are quite literally as described in length, they are graded in terms of degree of climb - rather than difficulty in completion. A red trail here will be no more tactful than your average blue. The downhill will be of no struggle to anyone with plus 140mm travel (even achievable with caution to hardtail riders). That and it will be over in less than 2 minutes. If you quite literally want some sign posts pointing in odd directions and a vague track to follow these trails will be of some use, but trust me, i'd rather climb the Wrekin (on my 6" front and rear travel freeride bike) 10 times over than visit here again. There would be some enjoyment for the beginner MTBr, the same goes for the more outgoing family, but serious MTBrs I wouldn't waste your time.
