Recreation at Scout Road Car Park
 

Set within the foothills of Winter Hill, Horricks Scout Road car park provides access to Horrocks Wood which is a fantastic place to visit. On clear days views to Jodrell Bank Observatory and beyond can be enjoyed from the many paths which link together areas of open grassland and young woodland.

How to get there:

Scout Road Car Park is in Horrocks Woods. Belmont, Horwich, Bolton, and Egerton are the nearest towns or villages.

The car park is located on the minor road between the A675 Bolton to Belmont and B6226 Horwich to Delph Hill roads. The car park is around 200m west of the road to Horrocks Hill Farm.
