Wye Valley Woods
 

The woodlands covering the valley sides of the River Wye are a mosaic of broadleaf and conifer trees, providing a variety of wildlife habitats. Large parts of the area, particularly the limestone cliffs, form part of a SSSI.

How to get there:

Wye Valley Woods is part of Wye Valley. Monmouth and Coleford are the nearest towns or villages.

Accessed from the A40 at Monmouth, follow the A4136, (Gloucester road), for the northern woods and the A466, (Chepstow road), the southern woods.Easily accessible from M4/48, M5, M50, A40 and A49. Mainline trains via Newport or Gloucester.
