A series of manmade ponds lie in the Cannop Valley.
Located beside the middle pond there is a large grassed area ideal for family games and picnics.
The popular fishing lake is an idyllic spot to view local birdlife, including Mandarin ducks.
The car park provides good access to the Family Cycle Trail, cyclists are requested to stick to this trail rather than using the pondside paths.
The ponds are leased to Yorkley Angling Club for fishing, day tickets can be purchased from the club bailiff at the bankside. Please note there is a close season in place from Mid March to May each year.
Please keep dogs under control and out of the water when fishermen are present.
A mobile catering unit is on site daily in the Gloucestershire school holidays from 11am - 4pm and every weekend throughout the year. Silvia Davis Refreshments serve hot food and drinks plus cold drinks, snacks and ice creams. Specials include Wild boar sausage or Venison sausage on a fresh long roll.

Forestry Commission Response
It's the close season at Cannop Ponds at the moment, fishing resumes May onwards. The Yorkley Angling Club bailiff will sell tickets at the bankside to the public - you just need a standard rod licence.

Cannop ponds is a lovely place, which, although it can get slightly busy, is a brilliant place to relax and sit peacefully.
