(Average user rating: 4 unrated 4/5)

pike lane, 18th oct 07Pages Wood is our largest site in Thames Chase and home to 100,000 trees. The wood offers 6.5km of walking and cycling paths and 2.2km of bridlepaths.

This valley of green space offers excellent views as well as a rich mosaic of habitats for wildlife.

It's a great place for children to cycle safely, and also provides a variety of walking opportunities without encountering road traffic.

If you fancy an even longer walk or ride, you can cross safely over to Harold Court Woods to the North West and Tylers Common and Tylers Wood to the North East. You can also connect to the London Loop, allowing you to roam even further afield if you have the time.

I would like to know when the grass will be cut in pages wood. I am having problems with grass seeds in my dogs ears when it is very long. We walk here every day and really enjoy it. We are having to find alternative walks while the grass is so long.

There is a exit from Pages Wood to the A127 by the BP garage, it is very dangerous to cross the A127 here could a footbridge be put in here I realise this would be at great cost but it would make Pages Wood accessible by foot to a lot of people who live on the south side of the A127 you can cross at the Hall Lane flyover but then have to clamber down the bank.

I love Pages Wood because it has a really nice & bright atmosphere, and it also has lovely surroundings, which makes it look really interesting. The things I don't like about it are: In the Winter, the paths aren't gritted. They should be. There should always be toilet facilities.
