About Cely Woods

Surrounded by the mature and ancient woodlands of Warwick and of White Post Woods, Cely Woods offers meadows, a small wetland and newly planted coupes of native trees. Also there’s an excellent network of paths, many all-ability accessible, providing a range of users with numerous route options around the site. It’s a rich habitat with numerous insects and flowers. Wildlife across the wetlands is a year-round treat. Try observing it from the wooden bridge that straddles the stream, dubbed the Common Watercourse. Or enjoy the views there south towards North Kent. All together Cely Woods delivers a real feel for the countryside in outer London.

Re: Cely Woods
My wife and myself have for some years enjoyed our walks with our dog at Cely Woods and have seen how much the woods etc it have grown / developed. One issue that always upsets us is that there are only 2 dog litter bins for the entire area. Both are no more than 40 yards apart on either side of the car park ? Is it possible to have one or two more or at least move one of the existing ones a mile or so away from the car park. I am no expert on a dog's call to nature, but if your checked the pathways it is after a few hundred yards away from the car park, that the dogs start pooing. Unfortunateley there a lot of people who either turn a blind eye or think by bagging up and then leaving the bag on the side of the pathway is OK. So could this issue be reviewed and improvement made. One last point, very well done to the Forestry Team for laying on recently the Midsummers Night Dream show - marvellous night / setting - great idea / venue - more please ?
Keep up the good work.
Regards
Ian and Mary
